EMPLOYMENT

Texas job growth numbers revised upward by U.S. Department of Labor in a press release by the Texas Workforce Commission dated March 12, 2009.  The federal revisions added 25,200 jobs to original January employment estimates released the week of March 2, 2009.  Revised data show Texas employers lost 50,600 jobs in January, rather than the loss of 75,800 jobs as reported March 5, 2009.  January Manufacturing employment was revised to include 25,100 more jobs than originally estimated.
